OUR MISSION

The Seattle Tutoring Coalition (STC) has two primary roles. First, we host multiple free trainings for volunteer tutors throughout the year to increase the effectiveness of tutors in our community. Second, we provide networking and professional development opportunities to individuals who coordinate local nonprofit tutoring programs.

WHAT WE DO

The STC is a cohort of professionals from various tutoring-focused organizations with the goal of providing year-round support and training to tutors in the greater Seattle area. STC's monthly meetings are targeted for program managers and volunteer coordinators, providing development and networking opportunities. The STC trainings are free and offered throughout the school year, and are designed to better equip all tutors in new and innovative techniques, through a variety of interactive workshops. Tutors, parents, teachers, or anyone with an interest in improving the lives of our youth are welcome to attend.
